Description

Details

This Dharma Festival for Switzerland, Italy and Austria is a special opportunity to be inspired by the renowned Kadampa text, Advice from Atisha’s Heart. This precious instruction from Venerable Atisha encapsulates the way of life of he early Kadampas, whose example of purity and sincerity we should all try to emulate. This three day spiritual holiday, gives you the chance to break free from the hectic routine of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. Listen to teachings, meditate and enjoy the company of people from all around Europe. You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energised. “These gatherings are unique and meaningful holidays, where we learn to find happiness within our own mind, through focusing on spiritual practice.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche

Programme:
The festival starts on the first day with supper at 6pm followed by the introduction at 8pm and finishes on the last day with lunch. There will be meditation and teaching sessions every day as well as a session with chanted prayers. At break times each participant helps with small jobs and there is also plenty of time to go for walks in the beautiful surroundings of Kailash IRC.

Language:
The Retreat will be conducted in English and translated into German, please contact us if you need additional translation.

Merit jobs:
Kailash IRC is a non-profit charity and the Retreat Centre, B&B and courses are all run by a few volunteers. Therefore it is common practice during an event at Kailash IRC that every participant helps with some jobs (e.g. chopping vegetables, washing dishes, tidying up etc.) and the final cleaning at the end of the course.
